Mission:
Don't fight the system. Teach the youths how to build their own through the entrepreneurial mindset.
How did we come up with this program?
Our founder, Vivy Chao, studied the success of Finland's progressive education system for her doctorate dissertation. In conjunction with her EdTech startup leadership experience, she created Yang Camp to fill a need she saw students had in real world experiences.
Yang Camp cultivates young minds with the characteristics that make the Finnish school system successful: collaboration, experiential learning, and equality.
Our entrepreneurship foundation is taken from Eric Ries' The Lean Startup, Steve Blank's The Startup Owner's Manual, Stanford's Institute of Design, and the Summit Public Schools.
Why? Because they're vetted.
What types of activities are incorporated?
One example would be using wire framing tools to create mockups/prototypes of the product students are developing.
Can I help Yang Camp without entrepreneurship experience?
Of course!
